A recent video posted on X has shown a “harm reduction” crew in San Francisco handing out drug paraphenalia, Standing right there is a 17-year-old kid in a backpack they give a pipe. These are our tax dollars that pay for this activity. Enabling addiction. This is harm in the name of help.

In the span of a couple decades we’ve gone from telling kids “Say No to Drugs” to “here’s a free pipe.”

California currently is in the midst of a drug addiction crisis. Opioid overdoses alone have killed over 564,000 people over the last two decades, according to the California Department of Health. The number of people killed annually is increasing rapidly.

And the big brains who Democrats pay to address this situation tell us the answer is to hand out free drugs to addicts? Here’s a question. If this policy was actually effective, why is it that addiction deaths, homelessness, and mentally ill individuals in city streets are at an all time high? It’s even affecting tourism. More than anywhere in San Francisco, where this video was filmed. People simply don’t want to visit a city where there’s poop in the streets and they get accosted by homeless panhandlers. Big surprise.

It’s also worth mentioning California’s liberal leaders never pass up a chance to lecture the rest of us about “healthy choices.” They especially love to get sanctimonious about cigarettes and tobacco. They tax the shit out of cigarettes and they even straigh up BANNED flavored tobacco. And don’t get me started on masks and “social distancing.”

And here’s where it hits home for me personally:

I smoke Marlboros and have since I was a teenager. I’m gonna quit one of these days when brain dead liberals stop stressing me the hell out. Meaning I’ll probably die with a cigarette in my hand.

But here’s my question. Okay. We believe in enabling people’s addicitons now in California. Cool. Where’s my free cigarettes? Why ain’t there a Sacramento Nicotine Distribution Bureau where I can go and get my rations? C’mon you already know why. Becuz I don’t vote Democrat. Cigarettes are a working man’s habit.

They’re giving out free drugs to the people who vote for them. Simple as that. And they’re taxing the shit out of you and me to pay for it. Makes sense. Only way half these idiots running this damn state are gonna get re-elected is if the voters are on drugs.

Meanwhile, working families get the bill. Local governments clean up encampments over and over again. Businesses close. Parks empty out. Police are told to stand down. Politicians claim the moral high ground while neighborhoods rot.
