Roseville Galleria’s “The Trails” remodel brings new restaurants and home brands

By Lena Vasquez, Community Features & Culture Editor

Westfield Galleria at Roseville is moving ahead with a major overhaul of its western outdoor promenade. Officials are calling the project The Trails at Roseville.

Construction began in May and is expected to wrap in spring 2027. The work will redesign storefronts, expand outdoor dining and seating areas, improve pedestrian pathways, and add landscaping and lighting with a more open, walkable feel.

Five new tenants have been confirmed for the space, all first-time arrivals at the Galleria:

  • King’s Fish House, the Southern California seafood chain opening its first Sacramento-area location
  • Doppio Zero, a Bay Area Italian restaurant known for Neapolitan pizza and pasta
  • Sweetgreen
  • Design Within Reach
  • Arhaus, which is taking roughly 15,300 square feet for a furniture showroom

Existing restaurants and shops along the promenade, including Il Fornaio, Ruth’s Chris Steak House, and World Traveler Coffee, are remaining open during construction, with access through the Promenade Garage.

Mall officials say the goal is to shift the western side of the Galleria from a traditional retail corridor into more of a lifestyle and dining destination.

The Galleria provides roughly 2,500 jobs and generates an estimated $730 million in tax revenue that helps fund local services. At the same time, the mix of high-end retailers, including names like Gucci, Louis Vuitton, and Chanel, is a reminder that not every purchase has to happen just because it’s available. Shoppers still have to decide what they can actually afford.

No exact opening dates for the individual tenants have been announced yet. More details are expected in the coming months as construction progresses.
