Fireworks are coming early to Placer County as Celebrate America, the largest community event in the region, kicks off tonight at Twin Oaks Park. The two-night event—June 27 and 28—promises big crowds, booming skies, and a whole lotta good old-fashioned patriotism.
Hosted by Destiny Church and now in its 14th year, Celebrate America draws thousands for an evening of family-friendly entertainment, mouthwatering food trucks, and a live musical production full of classic American hits with theatrical flair. Gates open at 6:00 PM and the main show kicks off at 8:00 PM sharp.
This ain’t your average backyard barbecue—organizers say this year’s fireworks will be the biggest they’ve ever launched. And while the pyrotechnics are a major draw, many attendees show up for something deeper: a heartfelt salute to our military. Veterans and active service members will be honored during the evening in a moment that’s become a signature part of the celebration.
“Celebrate America is an event to bring the entire community together to celebrate what it means to be an American,” said Pastor Greg Fairrington of Destiny Church.
The event is free to attend and open to the public. Expect games and prizes in the Family Fun Zone, a wide selection of food vendors, and plenty of flag-waving spirit.
Whether you’re looking to dance, snack, or just soak up the stars and stripes, Twin Oaks Park is the place to be.
