A new grassroots organization is bringing Sacramento’s small business community together — and making networking more fun in the process.

Founded in 2024 by Anna Goldwach and Dylan Dudley, BizLink Alliance is a fast-growing group focused on empowering local entrepreneurs, promoting collaboration over competition, and supporting nonprofit causes. The group hosts weekly breakfast meetings and social mixers at local hotspots like Shenanigans Kitchen and Bar and R Vida Cantina.

“We’re building a stronger community through real relationships,” said co-founder Dylan Dudley. “It’s not just about networking — it’s about connecting, sharing ideas, and growing together.”

Unlike traditional business groups, BizLink is free to join and open to everyone — including those who aren’t business owners. The membership includes a diverse range of industries, which opens the door for more referral opportunities and cross-collaboration than many single-sector groups allow.

Recent events have included a karaoke mixer at R Vida and breakfast networking at Shenanigans, where attendees heard from local nonprofits such as Hearts 4 Heroes USA — a national organization that trains therapy dogs to support the mental health of first responders.

“BizLink is constantly evolving,” said board member Darren M. Paquette. “The energy, the collaboration, and the commitment to giving back — it’s something special.”

The organization emphasizes its focus on community impact and philanthropy, especially through partnerships with local charities. Its growing popularity reflects a broader trend of purpose-driven business networking that’s less formal — and more inclusive — than traditional models.
