Democratic Party leaders express anti-American sentiment at Pan-American Congress

America Haters Take Center Stage at PanAnti-American Congress

By Craig J. DeLuz

OPINION – In the recent Pan-American Congress held in Mexico City, a stage was set for a gathering of figures who have seemingly positioned themselves as champions of an anti-American sentiment. Driving this assembly were leading members of the Democratic Party—individuals who have become the voices of discontent, feeding into an ever-growing narrative that undermines the very principles upon which this nation was built. The rhetoric shared at this congress wasn’t merely political discourse; it was a blatant expression of the grievances harbored against America by those whose roots and allegiances lie elsewhere.

Representative Delia Ramirez, an Illinois lawmaker, boldly expressed her preference for her Guatemalan heritage over her American identity at this event. This proclamation, that she identifies more as a proud Guatemalan than an American, raises profound questions. One must ask why an individual who benefits from the myriad opportunities this country offers would prioritize allegiance to an origin marked by its struggles, including high crime rates and economic instability, over a nation characterized by its prosperity and ideals of freedom.

While it is a privilege to celebrate one’s heritage, prioritizing that identity above American citizenship within the halls of our Congress not only disrupts the societal fabric but also illustrates a broader ideological fracture within the Democratic Party. Their manifest disdain for American ideals was echoed by other congress members like Ilhan Omar, who claimed that the U.S. is among the worst countries to inhabit; a stark contrast when compared to the realities faced in countries under despotic regimes.

As the congress unfolded, it became increasingly clear that this was not a mere policy discussion but a deliberate gathering of America-haters. This was underscored by the involvement of figures like Ayanna Pressley and Rashida Tlaib, known for their inflammatory rhetoric, questioning the legitimacy of American virtues. Such expressions not only degrade the American experience but also foster division and resentment, pushing a narrative that undermines the very foundation of democracy and free discourse.

Moreover, the presence of David Adler from the Progressive International, an organization that called for the U.S. to relinquish global authority and described America as the “linchpin of imperial violence,” demonstrates an alarming mindset. This is a dangerous doctrine that seeks to diminish U.S. influence while romanticizing flawed governments worldwide, likely out of a misguided sense of equality rather than a realistic assessment of global governance and stability.

The stark irony in these positions is also striking. As the leaders present at this Congress condemned American foreign policy as imperialist, they drew no connection to the fact that many of their constituents seek refuge in America, escaping the very tyrannies that these leftist ideologies claim to stand against. It reveals a disconnect from reality, where the comforts of America are dismissed in favor of a critique rooted in a politically correct form of self-loathing.

Fundamentally, this assembly of America-haters at the Pan-American Congress serves as a litmus test for the broader Democratic Party. Their narrative—we are the oppressors, and the U.S. is the root of global injustice—threatens to reshape American identity in ways that would prioritize global sentiments over national pride and responsibility. This ideology, if left unchecked, could lead to a more chaotic world order and jeopardize the values of freedom, democracy, and personal responsibility that define America.

While they may regard themselves as enlightened reformers aiming to address historical injustices, their words and actions reveal a troubling drive toward devaluation of the American framework. It is imperative that the American people recognize and reject this growing tendency within a party that seems increasingly out of step with the aspirations and gratitude of the nation that welcomes diversity as a strength rather than a hindrance. Only through a commitment to an America-first approach can we safeguard the integrity and future of our republic.
