Country music fans in the Sacramento region will have a chance to see two of the genre’s most recognizable voices when Pam Tillis and Lorrie Morgan bring their Grits & Glamour Tour to Thunder Valley Casino Resort this December.
Tillis and Morgan will perform at The Venue at Thunder Valley in Lincoln on Thursday, Dec. 10 at 7:30 p.m.
The two veteran country singers have spent decades on country radio and the road, building careers that helped define an era of the genre. Together, Tillis and Morgan have recorded 28 Top 10 hits, sold more than 18 million records and notched 12 No. 1 songs, according to Thunder Valley.
Morgan became one of country’s leading female voices with hits including “Something in Red,” “Good as I Was to You,” and “Five Minutes.” The daughter of Grand Ole Opry star George Morgan, she became an Opry member herself at just 24 years old.
Tillis, the daughter of country legend Mel Tillis, built a successful career of her own with songs including “Maybe It Was Memphis,” “Shake the Sugar Tree” and “Mi Vida Loca (My Crazy Life).”
Their Grits & Glamour Tour brings the two singers together onstage for a show built around their music, careers and friendship. Thunder Valley describes the pair as equally comfortable “on center stage in the theater or under the spotlight in a honkytonk.”
The Lincoln appearance offers Sacramento-area fans a chance to hear two artists whose careers stretch back to one of country’s biggest eras, without having to travel far from home.
Tickets for the Dec. 10 performance are listed at $39.95, $49.95, $59.95, $69.95 and $79.95, plus taxes and fees. The Venue at Thunder Valley Casino Resort is located at 1200 Athens Ave. in Lincoln.
Guests must be 21 or older to attend unless they are between 13 and 20 and accompanied at all times by an adult age 21 or older.
