KNCI’s Country in the Park is back for its 25th anniversary, and this year’s lineup ain’t playin’. The two-day festival at Cal Expo Grandstands on May 16 and 17 is shaping up to be one hell of a party, mixing some of the biggest names in country with rising stars who are already dominating playlists and sold-out shows.
🎤 Friday – May 16
Headlining Friday is Bailey Zimmerman, the Illinois native who’s exploded onto the scene with raw heartbreak anthems and a voice that punches you right in the gut. Songs like “Religiously” and “Rock and a Hard Place” have made him one of country’s fastest-rising names—and seeing him live is a damn experience.
Nate Smith, who grew up just down the road in Paradise, CA, brings that gritty, soulful edge to the stage with hits like “Whiskey On You”. His voice ain’t just smooth—it’s soaked in smoke and real-life pain, and it shows.
Ernest ain’t just a singer—he’s a Nashville songwriting machine. From penning hits for Morgan Wallen and HARDY to dropping his own slick, genre-blending tracks like “Flower Shops”, he’s built for both the stage and the studio. Expect something that feels both fresh and classic.
And rounding out the day is Bryce Leatherwood, winner of The Voice, bringing a more traditional country vibe that still hits with younger crowds. He’s clean cut with a baritone that’ll make your boots tap without even trying.
🤘 Saturday – May 17
Saturday brings the outlaw energy—and who better than Koe Wetzel to lead the charge? With that rowdy Texas rock-country sound and tracks like “High Road” and “Love” that make you wanna blast your speakers and speed down a backroad, Koe don’t hold back. He’s the wild card that makes this whole weekend electric.
Billy Currington, a country vet with hit after hit—from “Good Directions” to “People Are Crazy”—brings the feel-good charm and crowd-pleasing energy. Ain’t his first rodeo, and you’ll feel that confidence the second he steps on stage.
John Morgan is another one to watch—his rugged style and smooth delivery have already caught the attention of Aldean and company. He’s the kind of guy who’ll be way higher on the bill next year.
And closing it out is Chayce Beckham, who reps California hard and brings that acoustic grit that hits home. He won American Idol, sure—but it’s his songwriting and gravel-road voice that keep fans coming back.
