Benson Boone Sets New Sacramento Date After Last-Minute Concert Postponement

By Sacramento Daily Press Staff

Benson Boone has a new date with Sacramento after his previously scheduled Golden 1 Center concert was postponed less than an hour before it was set to begin, frustrating fans who had already made their way downtown for the show.

Boone’s Wanted Man Tour is now scheduled to stop at Golden 1 Center on Wednesday, Sept. 9, with the concert beginning at 8 p.m. Doors are scheduled to open at 7 p.m.

Tickets purchased for the original Aug. 8 concert will be honored for the new date, according to Golden 1 Center. Fans seeking refunds can obtain them through their original point of purchase.

The new date comes after an unusually abrupt postponement earlier this month.

Boone had been scheduled to perform at Golden 1 Center on Aug. 8, but the concert was officially postponed less than an hour before its scheduled start time.

Golden 1 Center cited health reasons for the postponement.

The timing left many fans frustrated, particularly those who had already traveled to downtown Sacramento, paid for parking or made other plans around the Saturday night concert.

Boone is one of the biggest young names in pop music. His breakout hit “Beautiful Things” became an international success and spent seven weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard Global 200. The song was also the most-streamed song in the world in 2024, according to promotional information from Golden 1 Center.

The singer’s debut album, Fireworks & Rollerblades, has been certified platinum, and Boone has received a Grammy nomination.

His rescheduled Sacramento appearance will give disappointed fans another opportunity to see the Wanted Man Tour, this time almost exactly one month after the concert they originally expected to attend.

The Sept. 9 performance will be held at Golden 1 Center, 500 David J. Stern Walk in downtown Sacramento.

For fans holding onto their original tickets, no exchange is necessary. Those tickets will remain valid for the rescheduled show.
