Next weekend, the beach town of Gulf Shores, Alabama is turning into the South’s rowdiest stage as the Sand in My Boots Festival kicks off May 16–18. Three days, three massive stages, and over 40 acts are coming together for a genre-bending, boot-stomping, whiskey-fueled event that’s already being called one of the wildest lineups of 2025.
Headliners include Morgan Wallen, Post Malone, Brooks & Dunn, and Wiz Khalifa—proving that this ain’t just your granddaddy’s country fest. From HARDY, Bailey Zimmerman, and Ernest to 2 Chainz, Diplo, and Three 6 Mafia, the festival brings the South, the swagger, and a whole lot of crossover heat.
For Sacramento country fans? This one hits close.
Several acts playing Gulf Shores are also stopping through town for “Country in the Park,” a huge Sacramento country concert happening the same weekend. Bailey Zimmerman and Nate Smith are set to perform in Sac before flying out to Sand in My Boots. It’s a rare, real-time link between the West Coast country base and its Deep South counterpart.
And while the festival’s happening 2,000 miles away, don’t be surprised if you bump into a few California hats in the crowd. With a lineup this massive, it’s a safe bet that at least a few fans from Sacramento and other parts of the state are making the trip.
Sacramento’s country crowd is no joke—from line dancing at Stoney’s to boots in the dirt at GoldenSky Festival. Radio stations like New Country 105.1 and The Bull keep the sound alive every day. And while Alabama might be far from home, the energy isn’t.
